Designing an interview.
When managing a small (but perfectly formed) workforce, one of the biggest challenges can be adding to that team without upsetting the balance – appointing someone who’s not a good fit is expensive and time consuming as I’ve learned in the past to my cost, so this time I sought professional advice from Victoria Wilken of Workology.
Victoria very quickly assessed our office culture and my management style. She then advised exactly the sort of values and strengths I should be looking for in a candidate and armed me with a set of insightful questions designed to get to the real person behind the CV.
When interviewing, I asked all my standard questions and was hearing all the glib, practiced answers but felt I wasn’t really getting anywhere – it was “hire and hope” as usual. So instead I tried some of the questions Victoria had given me and the interview instantly took on a whole new dimension! Suddenly I could see the person’s true values, work ethic, motivators and challenges – and I was able to instantly see with absolute clarity who was right and wrong for my team, it was like the clouds parting! One further phone conversation with Victoria to review the responses and I am left in no doubt that I have found the ideal new addition to my team, as well as the knowledge to best manage them and keep them motivated and productive going forward.
I have no hesitation recommending Workology and will definitely be calling on Victoria’s skills again in the future.

Feedback on ‘Reinvention with a Twist of Lemon’
I would describe Reinvention with a Twist of Lemon as one of the best workshops / development opportunities that I have ever participated in; the voyage of discovery was, for me, transformative. My ‘reinvention’ began with the pre-course materials, which revealed our core strengths, the power of being vulnerable and the impact of ‘shame’ on our everyday lives. The workshop itself was well paced, with time to focus on individual participants and our own journey. I discovered how to let go of what people think and the need to strive for perfectionism. We also learnt techniques to help focus the mind; I’ve put them into practice and have found an increase in productivity as well as a reduction in negative energy. For me, the identification of a personal goal resulted in a ‘light bulb’ moment that no-doubt will lead to greater fulfilment within my career and home life. I highly recommend the workshop to any woman seeking reinvention and who is not afraid to take a bite of the lemon to achieve it.

Designing a Training Package and Business Coaching.
Victoria came to us at a pivotal time in the development of our business. She developed a high quality training package for our new members of staff. She carried out a training day for us as company directors offering us invaluable insight and time to reflect on our vision, strategy and relationships within the company. She also carried out one to one business coaching for the two company directors.
The impact of business psychology.
Business Psychology gave us an invaluable insight into not only our vision of our company but the dynamic of the current set up. We were able to reflect on how things had developed and why. In the early stages of running a new business it is very difficult to see how things have come about and this approach really helped unpick our approach.
Victoria’s approach is insightful, well informed, experienced and above all fun. She injects humour as well as an incredibly supportive, wise, personable and human approach to what can be challenging areas
The personal coaching was incredibly effective. We both felt we were in the hands of an expert and someone who offers unconditional positive regard towards our aims both personally and in the interests of the successful development of our business.
The Eggtooth Project
I have owned my own business for 12 months. I love what I do and believe in it whole-heartedly. Which is why I have worked so hard to make my idea a reality. When you are working a lot of hours, using up all of your energy and head space it can effect you in so many ways. A lot of ways I was unconsciously aware of. Vicki has helped me to notice where I am, how I feel, where I want to be and ultimately why I do what I do. There have been times when I’ve been tired and stressed and have completely forgotten why I’m doing it! Vicki has given me lots of different tools to improve my work-life balance, the confidence to push my idea forward and the head space to think more creatively.

Team Building using Clean Coaching.
I had been considering having a team building session with our new team for a while. I knew it was important but I wasn’t sure how to go about it.
We are a new care farm charity for learning disabled adults and we have a small but committed team. The project is an ambitious one, and I knew that good team building would help us identify our strengths as a team, and work on any areas for development. Victoria contacted me and I was impressed by her approach and understanding of the psychology of successful team working.
Victoria used a coaching system called clean to help us unpick what working at our best looks like, how we work best in a team and then what kind of team would we want to be.
It was a highly successful, surprising morning which has helped us understand each other a little better, and identify how to communicate better.
To have coaching at this point in our journey, recognising we all bring something of value to the team was very beneficial and clarified our purpose. Thank you Victoria! You’re a skilled lady!

I decided to see Victoria of Workology after meeting her at a networking breakfast. From the offset I got a very good trusting vibe from her and after hearing the various forms of business coaching she offers and having a good chat I was very interested to let her help me.
I was amazed at how well she could understand me and basically read my personality and understand the problems/insecurities I had in not just my business but personal life. With a couple of coaching sessions, I found Vicky extremely easy to open up to and with the problems, I felt she shared some simple techniques to overcome/manage them.
I can now use these again and again in my business and personal life. Thank you so much Vicky, for all your help and golden nuggets of helpful knowledge and excercises which will help me for a long time to come.
